Local Night Market

DSCN2518 IMG_1373

The group at the entrance to the night market. We are quite the crowd when we travel. 6 Americans and our TAs still in their green shirts.  When we arrived a celebration started. The fireworks were awesome and so random. Later, we learned that they were taping a TV show there and that was part of the show.

Food is a huge part of the night market experience. The food is awesome and there is so much to chose from. Here are some pictures of things we ate.

It was a really fun night just all walking through the market and hanging out. Sandy and Dennis have a starfish drink that is really good and Anita, me and Dwang have tofu pudding (dou hua). So delicious.

I also ate stinky tofu and man is it stinky. It definitely lives up to its name.

As much as we think of night markets and food there is a lot more to it. There are animals you could bring home and games that you might find at a carnival in the USA.

Dwhited shooting a pistol at balloons. She is intense.   Then we ended the night with this photo. I was trying a dessert when all of a sudden a dog started barking at me and I got real scared and Emily snapped this photo at the right moment.
