So we are expected to see an ice cream truck when we saw this truck collecting trash. This truck plays the same music as an ice cream truck in the USA. However, there is no ice cream, it is a truck driving around town announcing itself with the music and people then know to come to the road with their trash to give to the guy.
Eating dinner at a little restaurant that we found off campus. It has become the norm for us to leave campus at night to go find dinner at the different small restaurants that are near the university. We pick a different restaurant each night. What is consistent with the restaurants is that you should bring your own drink. The restaurants usually just have small cups for tea that is chillen in a pitcher (usually we stop for boba tea..milk tea with tapioca pearls). Also, each restaurant usually does the cooking outside closest to the sidewalks so you see where your food is being made and then you walk into a room that is closed off and has air conditioning behind the kitchen. Our rule is usually to pick somewhere that has other people eating because we figure they know more than we do. There is no english translation for the menus so we usually go by pictures or whatever dwang and eshao can read.
