Fashion Show
Before the fashion show, there was a reception which we were invited to go to. In the first photo it is the 9 of us who taught from MIT and then James (oversaw the whole program and made sure that we students, places to live, and things to do) and Dr. Chan (MIT alum who contacted Sean about having MIT students coming to teach at VTC). Since VTC is a vocational school and have about 10 campus in Hong Kong, they are training students to go into the work force when they graduate. This fashion show was done by the students graduating from the fashion school.
These are some of the designs that were shown in the fashion show. One girl had dry ice in the design so she had a smoky effect coming off her dress. It was interesting to see that a lot of the models were westerners and tall and skinny. The show planned into the ideas of what is considered pretty in Europe and USA. There were not many Asian models.
Having fun on stage after the show was done.
